Raising Emotionally Secure Children after Separation
A proven step-by-step framework that can reduce guilt, guesswork and overwhelm
Date: Wednesday, January 8, 12-1 pm UK time
Repeated on: Thursday, January 9, 9.30-10.30 UK time
If you are a parent going through a separation, you probably experienced a whole new level of parenting guilt.
While it is completely understandable, guilt will not help you make the best decisions when it comes to supporting your children through this transition.
It can lead to overcompensating or keeping your head stuck in the sand - neither of which helps children feel heard, understood, safe and loved.
In this workshop, I will take you through a step-by-step child-centred framework that can help you to:
-
Understand what your children need from you. Focusing on meeting their needs can help you respond to your children in a way that prioritises connection and security.
-
Focus on taking small doable steps to support your children. Each step can help you rebuild your confidence and help you trust your parenting wisdom and decisions.
-
Reduce ruminating about the past, worrying about the future and focus on what you can do in the present.
